Message From The School Leaders
Mrs. Sonya R. Loggins has been an educator for over 25 years. She has worked with students pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades in many capacities. She taught second grade, in Toledo’s central city, for ten years before becoming a peer reading coach and national beginning reading instructor. She also worked as an after-school program instructor and headed a supplementary tutoring program for elementary students. Upon transitioning back to the classroom in 2011 as a third grade teacher, she assumed many leadership roles within her school community. Mrs. Loggins was the social emotional learning facilitator, educational technology teacher, member of the building leadership team and provided job embedded professional development for colleagues. In addition she has volunteered as a mentor for the Young Women of Excellence and volunteers with the West Toledo Rockets Youth Sports Organization.
Although formally new to administration and supervision, Mrs. Loggins has been preparing for this opportunity to continue to positively impact the lives of young people for at least the past nine years. She looks forward to continuing her passion for education, helping young people find their own passion for learning and their voice. Along with the dedicated staff of AEE students will find an extended family that holds children in the highest regard and compassion.
