There is a lot of momentum in Ohio’s schools right now and we would hate to see that momentum stalled, although we understand that yesterday’s announcement does mean there will be disruptions even in our households.
We want to thank students, staff and families who will need to exercise a great deal of flexibility in the coming weeks. We know this action causes disruption to established routines and expectations, but it was a necessary step to slow the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
We understand there are many questions. This is uncharted territory that we all are navigating together.
For the time being, we are announcing that our teachers are getting ready to send home a weekly packet of learning activities for our students. In order for this time to be credited–EVERY STUDENT MUST COMPLETE THE WORK IN THE LEARNING PACKET–. Our bus drivers will be handing the packets/and collecting packets–EVERY MONDAY. Parents can leave in their mailboxes and/or doors the envelopes to be picked-up. Every weekly packet that is not returned will imply summer work for the student. In order to avoid this measure– ALL PACKETS NEED TO BE RETURNED ON TIME.
LUNCH BAGS WILL BE PROVIDED EVERY DAY TO THE HOMES. OUR BUS DRIVERS WILL TAKE THEM WITH ONE OF OUR AIDES.
If any family wishes NOT to receive the lunch bag– let us know ahead of time.
